What We Believe

Statement of Faith

The truths that anchor everything we do at LCA.

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible — both Old and New Testaments — to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and life.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father's right hand, and personal return in power and glory.

Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ — the universal church — and in the importance of the local church for worship, discipleship, and mission.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."

2 Timothy 3:16
